Gwich’in Tribal Council
In 2008, recognizing the uncertain fate of the Mackenzie Valley Pipeline, the Gwich’in Tribal Council (GTC) contracted RT Associates to research alternate economic development strategies for the Gwich’in Settlement Area of the Northwest Terries. In a report – Thinking Beyond the Pipeline: Planning for Sustainable Economic Growth in the Gwich’in Settlement Area – the consultants outlined the organization’s vision, goals, priorities and actions for the GTC’s Business Development Division.
