Hamlet of Gjoa Haven/Kitikmeot Inuit Association
In 2010, KIA contracted RT Associates to develop a Gjoa Haven Multi-Use Centre Business Plan. Under the business plan, KIA and the Hamlet of Gjoa Haven are to own and operate the Multi-Use Center, serving as a tourist visitor center, cultural and conservation exhibit space, arts and crafts retail store, board room and office. As a result, the project has been successful in raising required financing with the Centre scheduled to open in 2013.
