Community Economic Development

Many of our clients are based in remote northern communities and face considerable challenges in trying to promote economic activity in regions which are usually far from major population centres and markets. Our clients require creative and realistic approaches to economic development that take into account their specific geographic and socio-economic conditions, while also incorporating the variety of opportunities, local resources and values present in the community. Working together, we apply the participatory tool of Community Economic Development (CED) to help community members set their own economic development goals, objectives and community vision for a desired future, and we help to build strategies and implementation plans that can achieve these targets.
